1.What is pre-booking?

Customers can choose to reserve products in advance by pre-booking available products. This will enable guaranteed availability of the product during the ‘redemption window’.

2. How can I buy a product using pre-booking?

The Pre-booking window will be live for such period as mentioned on the detail page of the product. (“Pre-book Period”). The steps to Pre-book are as follows: a) An initial pre-booking hold (starting from Re.1, may differ depending upon the product) is required for reserving the order during the Pre-book Period using Amazon Pay balance. b) Before start of the redemption window (final payment window to buy your pre-booked product),hold on your pre-booking amount will be released back to you into your Amazon Pay balance. c) When the pre-booking redemption window is open, you can purchase your pre-booked product by paying the price mentioned on the product detail page. The payment for your pre-booked order can be completed by going to the detail page of the product directly or through the link provided on the reminder notifications. Payment for your pre-booked order can be made through COD or any prepaid payment method available on Amazon.in (Credit Card/Debit Card/ Wallets/Net banking/E-Gift Vouchers). d) Please check the product page for the offer eligibility before pre-booking the product.

3. Is bank offer applicable during the redemption of the Pre-booking?

The bank offers as applicable on Pre-booked items will be as per the T&C of such offers during the redemption window. Please check the benefits as mentioned on the detail page during redemption window.

4. Can I place more than one Pre-bookings together?

Yes, multiple Pre-book items can be bought but each pre-booking needs to be placed separately. The pre-booking hold amount may differ as per the product, as determined by respective sellers.

5. How can I cancel a Pre-booking?

  1. Go to the product detail page in the Amazon.in app,
  2. Click on the ‘manage pre-bookings’ link and then, ‘Cancel Pre-booking’.
  3. Click on “Yes, Cancel pre-booking” to cancel.

6. What happens if I cancel the Pre-booked item?

Upon cancelling the pre-booked item, the hold on your pre-booking amount will be released on Apay wallet.

7. What happens if I don’t purchase the pre-booking during the redemption window?

If not confirmed till end of redemption window, the pre-booking will stand automatically cancelled and the hold on your pre-booking amount will be released back on Apay wallet.

8. Can I avail Cash on delivery on this?

An initial pre-booking hold (starting from Re.1, may differ depending upon the product) is required for reserving the order during the Pre-book Period using Amazon Pay balance. The hold on the pre-booking amount will be released before redemption window and, the complete price of the product needs to be paid during redemption window either through Cash on delivery or by using any other payment options available on Amazon.in.

9. Why do I see my pre-booking amount refunded in my Amazon Pay Balance?

The hold on the pre-booking amount will be released back before the redemption window (or if you cancel the pre-booking) and the customers will need to pay the complete amount to purchase the pre-booked product.
